It had rained the day before so there was a lot of mud and puddles. I'm happy with this shot because of the reflection in the puddle. Im not happy because I took this at like 1:00 and it was so bright.<br /><a title="CAT by Jen Scheffers Photography, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/43740225@N04/4077151416/"><img alt="CAT" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3491/4077151416_52ea8718d3.jpg" width="375" height="400" /></a>Jennifer Schefferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16347013156614509126noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1221438795972024326.post-23978906392569910452009-11-04T20:40:00.003-05:002009-11-04T20:47:43.610-05:00My CameraWith all the new information I'm getting at school I am experimenting with my digital camera, an <a href="http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1452">Olympus e-620</a>. I wish I had a better lens so I could have got more detail. I like how my instructors have made me think about shooting more. Before I was in school I probably would have said look at the moon not rushed in side to get my camera and take pictures of it. They are making me realize how important it is to get out and shoot.Jennifer Schefferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16347013156614509126noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1221438795972024326.post-81048766236910001882009-11-01T20:20:00.004-05:002009-11-05T11:08:58.144-05:00Pinhole update<img alt="pinhole" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2630/4065980675_17d0fbc1ee.jpg" width="400" height="375" /> So I'm coming right along on my <a href="http://www.ehow.com/how_2264341_pinhole-camera-picture.html">pinhole camera</a>. I found this creepy picture from <a href="http://www.oaklandcemetery.com/">Oakland Cemetery, </a>I shot there for a creative assignment last week. My boyfriend Gus was taking shots with my digital and I was laying in the ground taking shots with my film camera. Its spooky because it looks like I'm coming out of the grave. Funny what can come out of random pictures. I'm going to play around in <a href="https://www.photoshop.com/">photo shop </a>and see if I can make it scary.<br /><a title="grave by Jen Scheffers Photography, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/43740225@N04/4066727778/"><img alt="grave" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2709/4066727778_24f9af6cbe.jpg" width="400" height="375" /></a>Jennifer Schefferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16347013156614509126noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1221438795972024326.post-21625284802399803022009-10-29T10:36:00.003-04:002009-11-05T11:07:16.254-05:00Night Photography<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3K5q9HALRqIaDVchNdGO3J6mDstpadoxOfzWlnmbHYM4_YwPpDb4lysHsqYeFppcDfWVcru_mlGoxzxav5IB3Md1NXjN_q2pI-X_XOlMBhNkQs4H6FsSSwg6gmN9-rb0jrbrmY8KXIRo/s1600-h/night_arcade.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 246px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3K5q9HALRqIaDVchNdGO3J6mDstpadoxOfzWlnmbHYM4_YwPpDb4lysHsqYeFppcDfWVcru_mlGoxzxav5IB3Md1NXjN_q2pI-X_XOlMBhNkQs4H6FsSSwg6gmN9-rb0jrbrmY8KXIRo/s320/night_arcade.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398032359803439762" /></a><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Night photography really interest me. A truly inspirational photographer and master of his craft. <a href="http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/arts/la-me-roy-decarava29-2009oct29,0,860183.story">Click to read </a>the article announcing his death.Jennifer Schefferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16347013156614509126noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1221438795972024326.post-3488728790462934362009-10-28T13:33:00.006-04:002009-11-05T11:02:10.509-05:00Pinhole Camera<a href="http://pinhole.org/the-gallery/"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 100px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 75px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397707990578176898" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgYFBHwIHQwAIq7Up3qBZec4yc3Rqb-00syszOJZtXQwW_0b0905M9CUIwTk88GAu8PvmGbcQa_s9J3xcR4Lad74ZDWCoEpFNMRZslFPimOy6SrU3JZ4LpEyYnQEhVEb5ZD9Xov4eLQsw/s400/thumbs_STENOPEICHE%2520511%2520copia.jpg" /></a> So I finally started my <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinhole_camera">pinhole camera</a>. This article I read on <a href="http://www.interviewmagazine.com/">Interviews</a> website talks about how an auctioneer, <a href="http://www.purepurygraphy.com/">Simon de Pury </a>for <a href="http://www.phillipsdepury.com/">Phillips de Pury & Company </a>was able to showcase his own photography. I have to re shoot my 36 subject because a cemetery is to broad, they turned out great though. I had some extra time to print some for me. So I'm thinking about maybe doing a old suitcase or a tractor. Its a rainy day so no shooting today.Jennifer Schefferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16347013156614509126noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1221438795972024326.post-55875472108101403802009-10-26T21:16:00.004-04:002009-11-05T10:58:38.962-05:00Pretty ColorsOn the way to school last week I went to heat my car up and got these beautiful sunrise shots. Its amazing what one can see if they just open their eyes. My instructor is telling us to really look at your surroundings. I saw my neighbors leaving at the same time but I was the only one with a camera, I wondered if they even looked up.<br /><a title="P1012498 by Jen Scheffers Photography, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/43740225@N04/4048585868/"><img alt="P1012498" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2496/4048585868_ed6e65b03c.jpg" width="400" height="375" /></a>Jennifer Schefferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16347013156614509126noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1221438795972024326.post-19389365040063116752009-10-26T20:42:00.007-04:002009-11-05T10:57:47.785-05:00Creative Shoot<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Today's</span> assignment was to pick one subject and shoot it 36 <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">different</span> ways, our instructors want to see our creative side. I picked a cemetery because today had a cloudy start and my mood was somber. I decided to go to <a href="http://www.oaklandcemetery.com/">Historical Oakland Cemetery</a> in Atlanta, I had never been there before. It turned out to be a great day, by the time I got there the sun came out and gave me light. I also brought my digital and took some personal shots.<br /><a title="P1012533 by Jen Scheffers Photography, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/43740225@N04/4047842481/"><img alt="P1012533" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3241/4047842481_0fb2bfe76c.jpg" width="300" height="400" /></a>Jennifer Schefferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16347013156614509126noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1221438795972024326.post-43689278747703565782009-10-26T19:41:00.004-04:002009-11-05T10:56:52.698-05:00Patrick Hoelck<p><object width="480" height="295"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2sOj1AuGBNc&hl=en&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2sOj1AuGBNc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="295"></embed></object></p><p>I really enjoyed listening to <a href="http://portfolio.patrickhoelck.com/">Patrick Hoelck's </a>beginning and his love for art.
